Some of your duties will include:
- Support the conduct and review of risk assessments and hazard identifications for marine and port activities. Help implement recommended mitigation measures.
- Participate in regular HSE, ISO, SMKP audits and inspections of marine vessels, port facilities, and operations to ensure adherence to standards.
- Help organize and conduct HSE, ISO, SMKP training sessions and awareness programs for marine and port staff.
- Assist in investigating HSE incidents, including accidents, near misses, and non-compliances. Support the follow-up on corrective actions.
- Monitor operations to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to marine and port activities.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills, helping ensure teams are prepared for potential HSE incidents.
- Assist in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and clients, on HSE, ISO, SMKP matters.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Marine Engineering, Safety Management, or related fields. Advanced qualifications or certifications in HSE would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles within the marine, shipping, or port industries.
- Good knowledge of Ports policies, procedures, and regulations
- Good knowledge of Indonesian and International Marine policy and regulation is a must.
- Familiarity with maritime and port operations, equipment, and associated hazards.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent, specialized towards marine and port operations if available.
- Well-developed computer skills and communicate in English both of verbal and writing
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with the staff at all levels.
- Basic knowledge of local and international marine laws with respect to ownership, flagging, IMO requirement and conventions and classification requirement.
- Good English language skills including reading, writing and speaking,
- Computer literate with experience using MS Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation).
